On my walk this sunny Sunday afternoon I smelled something peculiar, something odd.
It took me back, somewhere a very long time ago. But I couldn't get 100% identification.
So I kept searching for it...
I knew I was close...very close....
Hmmmmmm could this be it?
Lets see.....
Yep thats right folks spring is here!! Well at least for some of us. But the good news for my friends who look around and see only white. This means spring is just around the corner for you!

Monday of Healing
I am here to say I had a fabulous weekend! My two-legger called into work and stayed with us all weekend!! This is a rare occurrence and I am so very happy she did! I love being with her she makes our live so much fun.
We didn't go anywhere or do anything special which I don't mind. So you may be asking yourself why she did this. Could it be that she loves us that much? Uh well no....she stayed with us because all the four-legger in the house was sick. She spent the entire weekend cleaning up throw-up and diarrhea from the four of us.
She kept saying we "got into something" we weren't supposed to. What ever that means! Shoot everything that is interesting and fun we are not supposed to get into so what are we supposed to do? The sights and smells are too tempting for us.
The culprit is still out there despite her attempts to comb the entire back yard for it. But whatever we "got into" is out of our systems and we are back to our ornery selves that she loves soooo much.
We hope that all the two-leggers and four-leggers out there are happy and healthy!

Monday Madness
Monday is upon us and for our two-leggers a sense of the appending doom that comes with it. But for the four-leggers in my family Monday is a joyous time! Soon we will have the entire house to ourselves. Freedom to arrange the blankets, toys and bones as we see fit. And finally enough room on the couch to stretch out!
Fret not two-leggers, while the four-leggers in your family may be happy to see you leave to earn our kibble, we will be very happy to see you walk through that door, just in time to feed us dinner!
Don't take this the wrong way. I do love my two-legger and wouldn't trade her in for anything! She was the most comfortable leg to nap on that I have ever come across....
So here is wishing you a delightful day to all my four-leggers out there. Rest up as there are groin jumps that are needed very soon.
And for all our two-leggers out there, would it be too much to ask for you to bring home some bacon for US?!?!?!

Justice for Olivia
Hello Friends we need a little assistance in getting justice for Olivia. Here is her story......
Animal Law Coalition volunteer Tracey Smith works with shelters in West Virginia to rescue, transport and place hundreds of animals every year. Now she is asking for help.
Tracey took care of Olivia, a homeless dog in her neighborhood in Cross Lanes, West Virginia. She would have adopted Olivia and kept her indoors with her other pets, but Olivia loved to roam. Here is how Tracey describes it:
"Olivia was dumped in my neighborhood 2 years ago, it took months to catch her. When we did, I took her to the vets. A few days later, she had 2 puppies on my couch.
Rescues were found for her puppies. I had Olivia spayed, vetted and tried to make her an indoor companion dog. She would not have it. Olivia lived in the neighborhood between several families. We all fed and cared for her. Each night Olivia would come to my door, I would let her in, she would sleep on my couch. Each morning by 600am she wanted out and would go three houses down to Monty's. There, she would lay in the yard with her buddies Slim and Roscoe, a boxer mix and a german shepard. Everyone in the neighbor knew and liked Olivia, or Mable as Monty called her. She was very timid and fearful of people. She never bothered anyone or anything!"
On October 20, 2010, Olivia was shot by an arrow. Whoever shot Olivia tore the arrow from her and left her to die. She was found still alive and rushed to the veterinary hospital, but it was too late to save her.
Kanawha County animal control is investigating.
